Our preschool, Susan Wagner Day, is a nurturing and vibrant learning community that caters to the unique needs of young children ages 3-5 years. In addition to our UPK program, we provide special education services and programs for preschool children with disabilities. All services, including speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and play therapy, are offered on-site. We are dedicated to fostering an atmosphere that encourages diversity, inclusion, creativity, and a love for learning.
At Susan E. Wagner (Riverdale), we believe in the power of play and hands-on experiences as crucial tools for learning. Our curriculum is designed to stimulate curiosity, enhance cognitive development, and promote social and emotional growth. We offer a wide range of activities that include arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and outdoor play, all aimed at developing essential skills and instilling a sense of wonder and discovery.

Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. Our facility is designed with child-friendly furniture and equipment, and we adhere to strict safety and hygiene standards from the NY Department of Health (DOH) to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our little learners.

Leading Your Kids to Victory with Susan E. Wagner
Welcome to Susan E. Wagner Day School (Victory), one of the oldest day schools in the Bronx. Originally called "Victory," it was conceptualized and organized by a group of women in the year 1942.
The name Victory was adopted to signify a spirit of triumph. This location became a part of the Susan E. Wagner Family of Schools on December 1, 2009, and has continued to provide sterling care to the children of the community. Currently serves fifty-four (54) NYC 3K and Pre-K children through the Department of Education programs.
Susan E. Wagner Day School (Victory) is dedicated to the idea that a young mind is a precious treasure that should be nourished and stimulated through love and creative curricula and provides enrichment through daily activities designed to enhance the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being of the children entrusted to its care.

Our First Location
Welcome to Susan E. Wagner Day School, located at 1140 East 229th Street, Bronx, NY. Our center (1140) is the first of five early childhood learning centers that have been in business since 1961.
